Seeking a construction management professional to oversee field execution for a wastewater treatment plant replacement in the Central Sierra, CA region. The role supports schedule, quality, safety, technical coordination, and documentation so the new utility infrastructure is delivered reliably in a sensitive, remote environment.
What you'd do
- Provide on-site construction management and daily field oversight for wastewater infrastructure work
- Track contractor progress, schedule performance, submittals, RFIs, change items, and field issues
- Review technical documentation for alignment with drawings, specifications, codes, and accepted construction practices
- Support quality assurance, safety coordination, inspections, commissioning readiness, and punch list closure
- Prepare clear reports, meeting notes, photo documentation, and issue logs for project stakeholders
What we're looking for
- Experience managing construction for wastewater, water, utility, civil, or similar infrastructure projects
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, and contractor work plans
- Strong field communication skills with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and owner representatives
- Familiarity with construction quality control, safety practices, change management, and closeout documentation
- Comfortable working on-site in a remote mountain-region environment with seasonal access considerations
