Seeking a specialist to help design adaptive radar waveforms that can respond to congested and contested electromagnetic conditions. The work focuses on applying AI/ML, signal processing, and optimization methods to reduce predictability, improve sensing performance, and support resilient radar operations.

What you'd do

  • Develop concepts for AI-driven waveform selection, adaptation, and optimization
  • Model radar operating conditions, interference, clutter, and adversarial signal environments
  • Create and test algorithms using simulation, synthetic data, and relevant signal-processing toolchains
  • Evaluate waveform performance against detection, tracking, spectral efficiency, and resilience measures
  • Document technical approaches, assumptions, tradeoffs, and prototype results for engineering review

What we're looking for

  • Advanced experience in radar systems, RF signal processing, or electronic warfare concepts
  • Strong background in machine learning, reinforcement learning, optimization, or adaptive control
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar scientific computing environments
  • Familiarity with waveform design, ambiguity functions, pulse compression, or MIMO radar concepts
  • Ability to translate research concepts into testable models, simulations, or prototype algorithms
